Think to Protect
NTSU Business Development Manager
Home Office Scientific Development Branch
£43,325-£55,837 + benefits
In partnership with key senior stakeholder groups, and through involvement with user groups, you will ensure the delivery of a clear business development strategy. This will cover all areas of the National Technical Support Unit, including the NTSU Surveillance Programme (which you will head).
Your aim will be to identify, prioritise and fill any future resource needs within the sector – putting technology in place that will make the nation safer.
Key to achieving this goal is your understanding of the needs and constraints of stakeholder communities. So you must approach every project from a number of viewpoints. The collaborative links that you maintain and establish with counterparts in organisations at home and overseas will also be vital.
An articulate communicator who is capable of providing clear advice to both technical and non-specialist audiences, you will carry influence at the highest level. And, ultimately, the basis for this will prove to be your sound decision making, regardless of how complex the issue at hand. A degree (or equivalent), ideally in physics, electronics or another relevant scientific/engineering discipline is also essential.
